2. CFJ Summer Camps for non-CFJ players

 

 

CFJ is conducting summer camps in Aurora, Naperville, and Wheaton. Camps are designed for players NOT currently registered with the club that would like to receive training from the clubs professional coaching staff. Fox Valley Park District will offer a soccer camp during the morning of July 13th- August 3rd at Prisco Community Center in Aurora, Naperville Park District offers summer camps run by CFJ the weeks of June 15th and July 27th, and Wheaton Park District offers summer camps run by CFJ the week of June 8th and August 10th. CFJ Summer Camps for current and new CFJ players

 

CFJ In-house Summer Camps are for current and NEW CFJ players (including Micro League Soccer players) looking to keep their touch over the summer. All sessions and leagues are run by CFJ coaches. Player should fill out the Summer Camp/ Small Group Training form and send it into the office with payment. Forms can also be e-mailed to summercamps@chicagofirejuniors.com.

Small Group Training

 

The Chicago Fire Juniors will be offering small group training again this summer. The focus of the sessions will be individual and small group technical work. There will also be a secondary focus on small group tactics. The 4 week camp will be directed by Scott Meineke (Assistant Director of Coaching U11-U14 Boys) and Vince Kalke (Assistant Director of Coaching U8-U10) .

 

 

4v4 Summer League

 

Players can register to play small sided games throughout the summer on Friday afternoons. Games will be moderated by CFJ staff. Team and schedules will be released once registration are received. All registrations must be received by Wednesday, June 17th. Micro League Soccer players (non-travel players ages 5-8) will play 3v3.

 

 

Skills Training Camp

 

During two weeks in the summer, the CFJ staff is offering skills intense training for players looking to improve their technical ability. Most of the training will involve players in 1v1 situations.

 

 

Finishing and Goalkeeping Camp

 

During two weeks in the summer, the CFJ staff is offering skills intense training for players looking to improve their finishing and goalkeeping abilities. Field players will work with CFJ coaches on scoring technique with a variety of surfaces and will encounter finishing chances in several different playing situations. Goalkeepers will work on technique and fundamentals receive repetitions on shot blocking, crosses, and free kicks.
