Brazil 1970

The Brazilian national team that attended the 1970 World Cup in Mexico has been regarded as one of the best teams ever formed. Their performance did not disappoint either. One the way to capturing their third of five world cups (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002) Brazil won all six of their games, a recorded number of wins in the tournament at that time. Additionally, the team boasted Pelé as their number 10, who is often regarded as the best player of all time, but arguably had several other players that could have worn the play makers jersey; Gérson, Jairzinho, Tostão and Rivelino in addition to captain Carlos Alberto. Brazil won the final 3-1 over Italy and since it was their third World Cup Finals claimed they kept the Jules Rimet Trophy. The current trophy, the FIFA World Cup Trophy began its circulation in following World Cup in 1974.

Real Madrid "Galacticos" 2001-2006
When Florentino Perez took over the Presidency of Real Madrid in 2000 and then bought a Galactico (world superstar) each summer compiling one of the most talented teams on individuals of all time. It was truly world all-star team. Players such as Raul and Casillas came out the of the Madrid youth system. Roberto Carlos, Figo, Zinadine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham, Robinho, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Claude Makelele, and Michael Owen were just some of the players that wore the Madrid white during this era. During this time Madrid won the La Liga title twice (2000-01, and 2002-03) and the UEFA Champions League in 2003. Its widely considered that the current crop of players at Real Madrid are the second coming of the Galacticos with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema, and Raul Albiol all recently joining the club.

Real Madrid 1955-1961
During this ear Real Madrid dominated the European scene winning the first five European championships, then called the European Cup before falling in the 1960-61 final. Also during this stretch Madrid won four La Liga titles (1954-55, 1956-57, 1957-58, 1960-61). They would return the final in 1961-62 and 1963-64 before recapturing it in 1965-66. From the1960-61 league campaign through 1968-69 Real Madrid won La Liga (eight consecutive titles) and then again regained it in 1971-72 season. Considered to a great far before his time, Alfred di Stefano anchored Madrid's attack 1953-1964.
