Micro League Soccer

Micro League Soccer (MLS program) is CFJ's in-house youth development program designed for players ages 5-7 who want to join the club yet can not or do not wish to commit to travel club teams. Additionally, this program is designed to prepare players for our travel teams. Training will take place for twice a week for an hour and half with a CFJ professional staff coaches. Weekday games will be played in-house in a 3 verses 3, or, 4 verses 4 "street soccer" format where the coaching staff can adjust according to the week’s lesson. The "street soccer" format allows the coaching staff to rearrange teams, adjust fields and goals to create an environment that best challenges players. The CFJ coaching staff desires for MLS program players to advance on the CFJ travel clubs and will modify the environment so players can learn the game from different angles. The core of the programing will be building the players technical skills. The program will be offered seasonally in the fall, winter and spring and will offer camps in the summer.

There is not any parent coaching involvement. Games are played on the weekends in a travel league where typical travel time is 30 minutes. These teams wear and compete in the CFJ jerseys (Adidas jerseys) and training in the CFJ training kit. These teams compete in tournaments at least once preseason and the commitment it 1 year. The cost for club teams is greater since the service and programming is more extensive.
